Day 02
TAMWORTH

Following breakfast, we travel up to Oxley Scenic Lookout, which offers a superb vantage point over the city and rich Peel Valley. After taking in the spectacular views, its time for some bargain hunting! First stop is Australian Red Cross Tamworth and Vinnies Tamworth which are close together to walk between.

We take a break from shopping and visit the Australian Country Music Hall of Fame, itโ€™s here we learn the story of Australian country music. The museum contains fascinating exhibits and brilliant displays of memorabilia from legendary artists such as Tex Morton and Slim Dusty to new stars like Keith Urban and Kasey Chambers.

Before some more bargain shopping this afternoon, we enjoy lunch at The Longyard Hotel. This afternoon itโ€™s off to The Salvation Army Tamworth Family Store, this is a stand-alone store so we can all shop together.

Returning to our hotel we have two more to stop at – One of a Kind Op shop and Vinnies South Tamworth. We head back to the motel for a well-deserved freshen up before dinner.

Day 03
NUNDLE

Today we travel to the quiet village of Nundle, established when gold was discovered in 1852. This very scenic town has many historic buildings including the Nundle Woollen Mill where we have a guided tour and free time to browse.

Marvel at the antique machines humming away as they work their magic to turn bales of the finest Australian merino wool into yarns in the vibrant colours for which the mill has become famous for. A visit to the Mill is a chance to reconnect with Australiaโ€™s wool heritage and browse the yarns, clothing and accessories.

Next, we visit Odgers McClelland Exchange Store full of bric-a-brac and bargains followed by lunch at the Peel Inn.

This afternoon we visit the Nundle District Craft Shop before returning to Tamworth this afternoon with some free time before dinner.
