Start the morning cruising the beautiful Hastings River with Port Jet Cruises. In all its glory, nature will entertain us by accessing the nature reserves and wetland areas on our vessel, providing a serene morning tea cruise.

Once back on dry land, have some free time to explore the many op shops in town and purchase lunch before visiting the Sea Acres Rainforest Centre, comprising of 72 hectares of rare coastal rainforest. Joined by a local expert, we will be guided through the magnificent park.

Returning to the hotel, have some time to freshen up before meeting back up for dinner.

This morning, we set off to hunt for bargains, heading to the nearby town of Wauchope. We spend the morning visiting Wauchope Lifeline Shop, Vinnies and Legacy Op Shop.

Next, travel to Ricardoes Tomatoes & Strawberries, where we have arranged a guided tour of the farm, which boasts five varieties of hydroponic strawberries, with over 30,000 plants growing in their greenhouse.

Enjoy morning tea here before heading to Kempsey to visit the Slim Dusty Centre featuring objects and images from the Kirkpatrick family’s own extensive archive, as well as contributions from fans and friends from all over the world.

Enjoy lunch here before travelling into town to browse the local op shops. Kempsey Lifeline Shop, The Rotary Book Shop and Salvos, which are all within the same block, making it an easy walk from one to the other.

From here, we return to Port Macquarie for our farewell dinner.

With our bags packed full of memories, we farewell Port Macquarie and begin our journey home, stopping in Taree to explore some more local op shops such as Valley Vintage, Salvos and Vinnies. While here, we will stop into the Taree Craft Cottage to enjoy morning tea and view some of the impressive local handmade crafts. Stopping in Karuah, enjoy lunch at the Karuah & District RSL Club before continuing home after a wonderful time away and some fantastic bargains!
